Call for Art Vendors (Curated Art Fair)

Paint The Park is expanding in 2026 with a weekend-long, curated art fair featuring original artwork, handmade goods, and a vibrant public-art atmosphere in the heart of downtown Allen Park. This event is part of a larger city-wide arts experience including 8 new murals, a city-wide art show, and nighttime light activations.

We are seeking artists, makers, and creative small businesses offering high-quality, original work. Spaces are limited, and vendor selection is curated to ensure a strong and diverse mix of mediums and price points.

Cash Prizes & Awards

To celebrate artistic excellence, creativity, and presentation, cash prizes will be awarded to selected vendors during the event. Awards will be determined through a combination of jury review and public engagement.

Prize Categories:

  • Best in Show – $750
    Awarded to the artist with the strongest overall body of work.

  • People’s Choice Award – $500
    Determined by public voting during the event.

  • Most Creative Booth – $250
    Awarded for standout booth design, presentation, and creativity.

  • Best Emerging Artist – $250
    Awarded to an up-and-coming artist showing exceptional promise.

Vendor Booth Options

Option A — Shared Large Tent (Provided)

A large shared tent will be provided. Each vendor receives an 8’ x 8’ space inside the tent.
Best for vendors who want a simple setup with minimal equipment needs.

You provide: tables, displays, and any other setup needs inside your space.

Option B — Independent Booth Space (Bring Your Own Tent)

Vendors may reserve a 10’ x 10’ outdoor space and bring their own tent.

You provide: tent, tables, displays, weights, and any setup materials.

What You Can Sell

We are accepting vendors selling original, handmade, and creatively designed goods, including (but not limited to):

  • Fine art (paintings, prints, drawings)

  • Photography

  • Ceramics & sculpture

  • Jewelry

  • Fiber arts

  • Woodwork

  • Illustration, comics, zines

  • Handmade home goods

  • Artisan products

No mass-produced items, resale/wholesale, or multi-level marketing products.

Vendor Selection (Curated)

Applications are reviewed by The Mural People to create a balanced and high-quality vendor lineup across mediums, styles, and price points. Due to limited space, submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance. Selected vendors will be notified by email.

Vendor Expectations

All vendors must:

  • Offer original work and professional presentation

  • Provide their own checkout system (Square, Venmo, cash, etc.)

  • Remain open for event hours

  • Follow setup/breakdown times and safety guidelines

  • Secure tents properly (weights required for outdoor tents)

Fees & Details

Vendor Fee: $100 (shared tent) $150 independent booth
Event Hours: 12-10pm
Load-In / Setup: available at 9am
Rain Plan: Event is rain or shine.

Timeline

  • Applications Open: January 28th

  • Applications Close: April 1st

  • Vendor Notifications: Chosen artist will be contacted April 15th

  • Event Weekend: August 22nd+23rd
